Millenium will release Linklater's 'Bernie'
Millennium Entertainment will release Richard Linklater's dark comedy "Bernie," starring Jack Black, in March. Millennium confirmed within this summer time it had been acquiring the distribution rights and introduced Thursday it had closed the sale. "Bernie" opened up in the La Film Festival in June. Pic stars Jack Black just like a mortician and community leader who strikes up an unlikely friendship getting a wealthy widow, referred to by Shirly MacLaine. Matthew McConaughey adn Shirley MacLaine also star. "Bernie" is produced by Mandalay Vision and Wind Dancer. Scar Gill, attracted about this summer season as leader of Millenium Films, handled the releases of some Linklater game game titles -- "Before Sunset" and "A Scanner Darkly" -- while heading Warner Independent. Director of Purchases Vincent Scordino talked about the "Bernie" deal regarding Millennium Entertainment. Millennium Entertainment recently released "Puncture" and may release "Trespass," which opened up within the Toronto Worldwide Film Festival on March. 14.
